Bonjour les amis! 🇫🇷 (Hello Friends!)
Our centre recently applied to become accepted into the Early Learning Languages Australia (ELLA) program, our application was approved and our Preschool children will be taking part in French lessons for 2020. This will be a great addition to our prep for school program.
Learning another language helps develop essential areas of a child's brain. It assists children to think more creatively, connect ideas, build connections between English and in our case French, strengthen memory for sequence, concentration and solve problems more easily. Children automatically compare and contrast the system of the new language they are learning with English, which gives them an insight to how English works, which can accelerate their literacy skills.
We look forward to implementing this exciting opportunity at Imaginations and we think the teachers and our children are going to have a lot of fun along the way!
Au revoir! 🇫🇷

Welcome to the Nursery Room

This cozy and inviting space is to welcome children aged from 6 weeks to 2 years old.

This may be your babies first transition from home to care and that is a pretty big deal for everyone in the family. We aim to make our nursery feel like a home environment so your baby feels comfortable and settles in nicely. Families are welcome to spend time with their baby to help settle them in and get to meet our educators during the orientation process.

We ask families a range of questions around the routine of your family and your baby so we can help with a smooth transition into care. Your babies routine is visible so that you and your babies educators can frequently discuss any changes has they grow, from breastfeeding, formula and cows milk as well as starting solids, purees or a change in sleeping patterns.

Sheets are provided at our centre and are strictly for your babies days they attend. Sheets and blankets are removed on their last attending day of the week and replaced with clean bedding for the following week. Above your babies cot will be a little sign to remind each educator the best way your baby likes to sleep, this might involve rocking, patting, a comforter, dummy or special soft toy from home.

We provide all meals at our centre depending on their needs. Our cook will provide smooth and chunky purees on site with a mix of fruits and vegetables for a varied diet. We ask families to provide their own formula but we provide cows milk for older children.

In between the day to day routine educators and babies will spend time often engaged in reading, singing, floor activities and outside play so that strong attachments between the educator and babies can develop. We understand the importance of choosing a centre for your baby and leaving them in our care. There is a deep level of trust required and we encourage daily conversations to help build strong relationships for all.

We look forward meeting your family!
